Visions—Tutoring Kids
Brad and I have a few visions that we would like to pursue once we have a house.
One of the big ones is to give neighborhood kids a place to come after school and get help with homework, use a computer, and hang out.
Our plan for the funds
We’ve asked for your help raising $30,000. So what’s our plan for the money?
With your help we’d like to purchase a vacant residential structure from the City of Columbus.
The time has come, we need your help
Throughout our journey, many people have asked us if we accept donations. For some reason, and we couldn’t figure it out either, people wanted to give us money.
We always told people that if we did need money, or had a way to put it to good use, we would ask.
That time has come.
Come with us to look at 2 more houses on Friday
We’re looking at two more houses tomorrow (Friday) at 1:30.
Meet us at 892 Studer Ave, Columbus, OH 43206. They’re both on the near east side.
Where do you find a house for $30,000?
We’ve been talking about finding a house for $30,000 in the city somewhere from which to infiltrate and help the neighborhood. I know that it’s hard to believe that such a thing exists.
So where do we find a house for so cheap? This is 2008 after all.
