A brief respite from the sleepover of life
Our life is a perpetual day after a middle school sleepover.
I’ve nearly forgotten what rested feels like.
You know how the day after a sleepover always kind of felt like shit when you were a kid. It was worth staying up until 3 in the morning and drinking 16 mountain dew, but Saturday morning was pretty much hell.
That’s how my life feels now.
We’re moving around from house to house, which isn’t that different from sleeping in the car night after night. But in the car we were pretty much alone all day, so we could be quiet, meditative and productive.
When we stay at someone’s house we’re obligated to spend a fair amount of time just being sociable.
But things should be better for a couple of weeks now. We’re watching a house in Westerville, at least through Labor Day, but for how long we’re not sure.
That should mean that we can get back into this blog again and get our shit sorted out.
We’ve been putting together some plans for a longer-term solution.
We want to buy a house somewhere in the inner city. For the time being we’re trying to figure out where and how to come up with $30k.
Yep, you can find decent houses for that much money on the right corners. We’ve seen inhabitable houses for as low as $7,000.
We’re opposed to borrowing the money, but knocking off convenience stores isn’t completely out of the question.
The good news is that we have a place to rest and get some good work done. With two solid weeks I might be able to finish my book.
Any ideas on that $30k thing, let me know…

You said shit twice.
Yeah Captain, you should finish the book and any initial income you make we can use to make rounds at the c-bus cock fights. I got 3-1 on a scrappy little guy named Chaco.
