We traveled across the border again yesterday in search of cheap pharmaceuticals for Brad.
I realize that it sounds like we are 80 years old but living with no health insurance means you gotta do what ya gotta do to get by.

Here we are in beautiful San Diego.
We’re camped at the cheapest campground we could find.
There’s a lot of yelling at night, but it’s 15 minutes from downtown, Mexico and the beach.

We’re headed to the golden state for the Red Bull Air Race.
How sweet is that?

The wind has driven us from another campsite.
This one was worse. We were camping on the beach at Elephant Butte State Park.
Not only did our tent stakes do diddly squat in the beach sand, but there wasn’t a large rock to be found.

The wind was crazy at night in Alamogordo.
Our tent was sitting right at the base of the Sacramento Mountains. The wind would come whipping down the corridor at about 1 a.m. each night, and beat the tent around until 6 a.m.
To top it off, we couldn’t stake the tent. The ground was an inch of dust and gravel on top of solid rock.

One understands that our life is not very cheap, nevertheless different people…
