
For better or worse, debt is commonplace in America. If we own a house, we’re probably paying it off. If we’ve been to college, we probably have outstanding loans. If we own a car less than 7 years old, we probably receive a monthly bill for it.
But debt is a serious road block to living in Christian community. When we have debt we can not spontaneously respond to the call of God. We can’t leave behind jobs, cars and houses…


Debt is commonplace in America. It’s so commonplace that we tend to accept it as a part of life. If we want to buy big things like houses, cars, tuition and vacations it’s generally seen as an acceptable use of credit.
For the next few days we’d like to share our thoughts on debt. I know that in our society it seems like we need debt to buy a house or a car, but that’s a simple lie…
