I’m reading this book called Jesus Plan for a New World,
I don’t know whether or not to recommend it yet, because he hasn’t reached many conclusions.
But there a lot of thought provoking quotes, like the following…

The Cost of Discipleship by Dietrich Boenhoffer was one of the first Christian books that I ever read.
Most people know Dietrich (I think he would want me to call him Dietrich) as the German Christian who tried to assassinate Hitler during World War II. He almost pulled it off, too.
In The Cost of Discipleship Dietrich said that although salvation is free from God through Jesus, it isn’t cheap…

I stand around in the bookstore or library dumbfounded, what to read?
Even though I’ve read it before I picked up Animal Farm. As I read I started thinking about it in a whole new light…

Finally, somebody’s hit the nail on the head with this book.
“The authors reveal practical biblical techniques to acquiring great wealth, explode the myth that Jesus was poor, challenge the belief that the Bible teaches poverty, help readers become financially literate, and teach the body of Christ that wealth is God’s will.”

I never know what to look for at the library or bookstore, and I thought there must be other people in the same predicament. Professional critics suck and Oprah’s book club is totally no fun, so I thought I’d share some of the books I’ve been reading.
Upfront, you should know that I’m a huge fan of Kurt Vonnegut. Hocus Pocus could be my favorite book of all time (excepting I Just Forgot by Mercer Mayer).
So I needed my Vonnegut fix, and this was what they had.

One understands that our life is not very cheap, nevertheless different people…
