From Boise, Idaho to Kennewick, Washington we got 36 miles per gallon.
As we approached 300 miles on the trip odometer we had barely breached the half tank mark.
Given that our tachometer, speedometer and oil temperature gauges don’t work, I thought our gas gauge had finally succumb to the roadway as well.
‘Another thing broken’ we thought. ‘It’s not registering our gas consumption.’
But then we filled up, and just like the gauge indicated, we only needed 8 gallons.
36 miles per gallon, can you believe that?
Either there must have been a tremendous drop in elevation or God has blessed us with a gas tank that won’t run dry.
Seriously, I’m not counting either one out.
