We always said that when the time came, we’d ask for your help.
Throughout our journey, many people have asked us if we accept donations. For some reason, and we couldn’t figure it out either, people wanted to give us money.
Every time someone asked we said no on the grounds that we didn’t have anything good to do with it. Giving us money would have just paid for two people to travel around the country burning gas. There are a lot more deserving people and organizations who could put the money to good use.
Giving us money wouldn’t have helped anyone but us. There are others who need help.
We always told people that if we did need money, or had a way to put it to good use, we would ask.
Well, we’re asking. You’ve heard us talk about a community house for some time now.
We’ve been looking at houses, putting together budgets, and trying to articulate our mission, and now we’ve come to a point where we need your help.
We’ve expounded more in the past, and certainly will talk more in the future, but here’s what we would like to do:
We would like to start a ministry in an impoverished inner city neighborhood. We think that the best way to help needy and broken people is to live among them. We would like to buy a house on a bad block as a base of operations for our ministry in which a group of motivated, loving individuals will live communally and open the house up to the neighborhood.
This ministry will not rely on continued donations or a paid staff, the members of the community will work to provide for their own needs and fund the ministry.
There’s so much good that we can do, and we think the best way to do it is to live among the poor as the poor. But we need your help to get started.
To accomplish this we need $30,000.
We need your help. We don’t know enough people to raise this money by ourselves, and even if we could we wouldn’t want to.
We need people to be a part of this. Please talk to your friends and coworkers, please discuss this idea.
Then talk to us. Let us know what you think, let us know if there’s anything you would like from us to convince your friends and neighbors.
We’ve added a PayPal “donate now” button to the website, as well as below. You can also send mail to 4897 Neff Rd., Grove City, OH 43123.
Please call 614-805-3982 if you have any questions or would like to talk. You can also e-mail us at .
We’d love to hear from you. Please stick with us as more details develop.

Ok, I’m paying the idiot tax and buying scratch offs....
Seriously, Sara and I will pray for open doors on our part that will allow us to be involved in some way. Keep me posted, bro…
